Introduction

You are going on a scavenger hunt.  Can you find  the different groups of invertebrates and more examples  than the other teams?  Use the internet and your textbook to find out what an invertebrate is and where you would find them.  Good Luck!

 
 
 
 




The Task
  • You will make a flip book to keep all your group information.
  • Your group will design a Hyper Studio project.
  • You will present your information to the class




The Process






You are in groups of 6 to start your scavenger hunt.

1. Each member of the group will pick one group of invertebrates to hunt.
 

2.  Before you begin hunting you will need to research your animal to know how to identify your animal and where to find it.  Some groups will take on many identities, so be careful don't let some of them hide from you.  Fact sheet

Using  the links with your animals along with the following sites you will find information.


3.  Fill out your flip book to keep your information together.  You will also get information from other team members about the other groups.

4. Design a stack for a hyper studio project as a team.

5.  Your team will present their findings to the class.



Evaluation

Each student will be graded on their hyper studio project, presentation and how they work in their group.  Individuals will be graded on their flip book using the same rubric as the hyper studio project.

Conclusion

Your scavenger hunt is now completed.  Did your team find all the animals in the invertebrate group?  You should be able to identify an invertebrate and classify it in the correct group.
