Griswold Welcomes our Youngest Learners

Griswold Tiger Cub Preschool

Griswold School Tiger Cub Preschool will provide a meaningful continuous educational experience for your child and an opportunity for each child to become a life long learner.

About the Preschool Programs

Preschool

The Griswold Community Schools’ Preschool will be open to any child in our district between the ages of 3 (by September 15th) through school-age.  The child should be potty trained before admittance.  The preschool will follow the Griswold Community School District’s calendar with exceptions for Professional Development for Preschool staff members.  The first day of Preschool is three days after the district start date.

Parents have a choice of either full-time or half-time.  Full-time students will attend school Monday - Friday.  Half-time is either on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.  There is a Preschool room in both Elliott and Lewis.

Early Childhood Special Education            Started August 2004

The Early Childhood Special Education program serves children with developmental delays or disabilities. Children in the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program will be involved with other preschool children throughout the daily routine. There is one section of the ECSE program and will be held Monday through Thursday in Lewis Elementary.  Children who are served through Green Hills AEA's Early Access shall be able to start the program at the age of three.
